What are the burning times for the scented soy wax melts?

With proper care, each cube lasts up to 25 hours and each pack of the 85g wax melts, lasts up to 150 hours. The sample pots of 20g can last up to 20 hours.

Do you sell wax melt samples?

Yes, we do. Sample sizes come in a 20g pot. It’s a perfect choice if you’re uncertain about a scent or would like to see the quality of our products before purchasing a full size

What type of wax do you use in your wax melts?

We only use 100% natural soy wax (no nasties around here) to make our scented soy candles. Soy wax is a plant-based wax which is non-carcinogenic, and non-toxic. Soy wax melts are more economical, as they burn 50% longer than candles made of paraffin waxes. Soy wax melts produce little or no soot at all, so they are gentle for those who have breathing issues and allergies.

Are your soy wax melts Paraben & Phthalate free?

Our wax melts are made of soy wax, which is GMO-FREE, contains NO paraffin and NO unnatural additives. Soy waxes are biodegradable, renewable and environmentally safe.

What kind of fragrances do you use in your soy wax melts?

We use both synthetic fragrances and essential oil blends to create our soy candles and melts. These fragrances are free from phthalates and paraffins and are non-toxic. Our fragrances are highly purified, safe and made from premium quality ingredients.

Soy wax holds aromas well and due to the low melting point of the wax, the fragrance oils can be released slowly to live up to their full aromatic potential.

Are your soy wax melts vegan friendly?

Yes, they are. All our ingredients, including the fragrances and the candle dye are vegan friendly.

How do I use soy wax melts?

Place one soy wax cube into a warmer (do not add water) and light an unscented tea light candle, or use the electric or plug-in warmers. As the wax slowly melts, the beautiful fragrance is released.

Why do soy wax melts start to change colour?

It’s not uncommon for a soy wax melts to change colour. The surface might look a bit dry or flaky if the melts hasn’t been used for a while. This is because soy wax is a natural product. The changes do not affect the wax melts.

How can I get the most burn time out of the soy wax melts?

We recommend burning the soy wax melts for approximately 4 to 5 hours at a time, and no longer than 6 hours.

Do wax melts disappear?

No, they don't. With wax melts the scent will dissipate, but the wax doesn't evaporate like candles.

Can I leave on the wax warmers?

Never leave a traditional wax warmer unattended or within reach of pets or small children.  The warmer will be hot after burning, so allow the wax to cool completely before handling.

How to remove soy wax melts from the warmer?

Simply, place some cotton balls in the wax when turning off your burner, which will absorb the warm wax easily. Alternatively, place the burner dish in the freezer for about 10 minutes, then pop the melts out with your thumbs or lightly tap the burner on your counter. Do not leave it in the freezer too long or it may crack when you remove it.

Can I recycle the wax melts?

Yes, you can. For those who love fireplaces and campfires, once your melts are finished pour the liquid wax into an empty egg carton and let it harden. Break off one "egg" from the carton to use it as a fire-starter to start your fire.

Are soy melts better than soy candles?

Yes, they are. Soy wax melts last longer than soy candles. Soy wax melts have longer burn times and more intense fragrance compared to soy candles, because there is no wick producing carbon dioxide.

Where are these scented soy wax melts made?

All Skye Candle and Body Care products are homemade and handcrafted in a city we chose to call home – Wellington, New Zealand.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Never leave a tea light burning unattended, or within reach of pets, or small children or near drafts. Soy tea lights will be hot after burning, so allow the wax to cool completely before handling. Never leave the tea lights on top of a plastic surface, even when using a candle holder.
