Trim the Wick:

Always trim the wick to about 5mm (¼ inch) before every burn to avoid soot and ensure a clean, even flame.

This prevents the wick from becoming too long, which can cause smoking or uneven burning.

First Burn Matters:

Allow the candle to melt across the entire surface on the first burn to avoid tunneling. This usually takes 2-3 hours.

This ensures an even burn and maximizes the candle's lifespan.

Avoid Drafts:

Keep your candle away from open windows, fans, or air conditioners to prevent uneven burning, flickering, or soot.

Drafts can cause the flame to dance and burn the wax unevenly.

Burn Time:

Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Let the wax cool before relighting it.

This helps preserve the fragrance and prevents the jar from overheating.

Safety First:

Always place your candle on a heat-resistant surface and never leave it unattended.

Keep candles out of reach of children and pets.

Extinguishing the Candle:

Use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax to extinguish the flame, then straighten it again. Avoid blowing it out to prevent soot and wax splatter.

Keep the Wax Clean:

Remove any wick trimmings, matches, or debris from the wax to ensure a clean burn.

Maximize Fragrance Throw:

To enjoy the full scent of your candle, burn it in a smaller, enclosed space like a bathroom or bedroom. Larger rooms may require multiple candles for a stronger scent.

Avoid Tunneling:

If your candle tunnels (where the wax around the wick doesn’t melt), wrap aluminum foil around the top of the candle, leaving an opening for the flame. This will help the wax melt evenly.

Reuse the Jar:

Once the candle has burned out, clean out the jar with warm, soapy water and repurpose it as a container for makeup brushes, pens, or small plants.

Remove Wax Easily:

To remove any leftover wax from your candle jar, freeze the jar for a few hours. The wax will shrink and pop out easily.

You can also pour hot water into the jar to melt the remaining wax, then let it cool to remove it.

Enhance Scent Throw Without Burning:

On warmer days, place your candle near a sunny window without lighting it. The heat will soften the wax and release the fragrance.

Store Your Candle Properly:

To maintain the fragrance, store your candles in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight. This prevents discoloration and preserves the scent.

Recycle Your Wax:

If you have leftover wax that won’t burn, melt it down and pour it into wax warmer or make small wax melts for continued use.

Fix a Candle That Won’t Light:

If the wick gets buried under the wax, pour out a little melted wax or use a paper towel to absorb it before relighting.
